Trip Overview
- Transportation via deluxe highway motorcoach

- A visit to the 9/11 Memorial Museum that examines the implications of the events of September 11, 2001
- A 30-minute, wet-n-wild ride, at 45 mph through the New York Harbor, with an up-close view of the Statue of Liberty, on a speedboat called The Beast (weather permitting)
- Get up close to your favorite stars, and see how life-like the wax figures really are Madame Tussauds, in New York City
- A walk through Times Square, with dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
- A visit to America’s most historic prison, the Eastern State Penitentiary
- A ride atop a double-decker bus through the historical streets of Philadelphia
- A tram ride through Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
- A guided tour of Washington D.C., visiting historic sights, memorials, and museums
- A visit to the International Spy Museum
- A night-time Ghost Walk in Gettysburg
- A guided tour of Gettysburg National Military Park
- Admission to Hershey Park, which offers roller coasters, water rides, and more
- All taxes and tips included, with the exception of $5 per student for our bus driver’s tip, which will be collected the morning of departure

Itinerary
Day 1 - June 14, 2023 - Wednesday - DWe’ll depart Cedar Springs Middle School at 5:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We will stop at the Cleveland Zoo for some lunch and time to stretch our legs before heading to our hotel in New Jersey for the night.
Day 2 - June 15, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DToday will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. Our morning will start with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where we will learn of the events, the aftermath and continuing implications of September 11, 2001. After lunch, we take a heart-stopping thrill ride aboard The Beast, out to see the Statue of Liberty. Next we sing, dance, laugh, and play at Madame Tussauds. Our day will end with some time in Times Square and dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company before heading for Philadelphia for the night.
Day 3 - June 16, 2023 - Friday- B, L, & DAfter breakfast at Hard Rock Cafe, we will visit the Eastern State Penitentiary, where some of America’s most notorious criminals were held. Then it’s sightseeing at its best, as we ride the double-decker bus through the historic streets of Philadelphia. We will enjoy a famous Philly Cheese Steak sandwich for lunch before heading for D.C.. Once in Washington D.C., we will have dinner at Union Station before taking a guided tour of our nations memorials.
Day 4 - June 17, 2023 - Saturday - CB, L, & DWe’ll spend the day exploring Washington D.C.. The morning will start with a tram ride through Arlington National Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. After lunch we have time to tour some Smithsonian Museums. Our evening will be spent having some fun at Dave & Busters before heading back to our hotel.
Day 5 - June 18, 2023 - Sunday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent testing our spy skills at the International Spy Museum. We will have time for shopping and lunch at the Pentagon Mall before heading for Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg, we will have dinner, and go on one of Gettysburg’s famous Ghost Walks.
Day 6 - June 19, 2023 - Monday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide, and do some last minute souvenir shopping. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 20, 2023 - TuesdayWe will arrive back in West Michigan.
