Trip Overview

called The Beast (weather permitting) • A visit to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox• A tour of Boston, with the world famous Boston Duck Tours • Dinner at Faneuil Hall Marketplace• See the spectacular Niagara Falls aboard the Maid of the Mist • Admission to Cedar Point, (ticket does not include admission to the
water park) • All taxes and tips included, with the exception of $5 per student for
our bus driver’s tip, which will be collected the morning of departure • Meals are included except lunch on Day 1
Itinerary
Day 1 - June 11, 2023 - Sunday - DWe’ll depart Grant Middle School at 5:30 am for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We will make a stop and learn of the heroic actions of the passengers and crew at the Flight 93 National Memorial, on our way to Gettysburg.
Day 2 - June 12, 2023 - Monday - CB, L, & DWe will start our morning off with a tour of the Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service Guide. After some lunch at General Pickett’s we will depart for Washington D.C.. Once in Washington D.C. we will have time to visit a couple of Smithsonian Museums before dinner, then we will take a guided tour of our nation’s capitol.
Day 3 - June 13, 2023 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DWe start the day with a tram ride through Arlington Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, before leaving for New York City. Once in NYC, we will have dinner then visit One World Observatory, where we take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor for breathtaking views of the city before we head to our hotel for the night in Fairfield, New Jersey.
Day 4 - June 14, 2023 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DToday, will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We start with a guided tour to some of New York City’s best filming locations featured in some famous TV shows and movies. After lunch, we will visit Central Park Zoo before we take a heart-stopping thrill ride on a 70-foot speedboat, called the Beast, out to view the Statue of Liberty. We will have some shopping time, and dinner at Bubba Gump in Times Square before heading out of town for the night.
Day 5 - June 15, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DToday is spent in the city of Boston. We first start with a visit to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. After lunch we will board the “Duck”, a W.W.II-style, amphibious landing vehicle, and cruise by all places that make Boston the Birthplace of Freedom. There will be time for dinner and shopping at Faneuil Hall before heading out of town to Albany, New York for the night.
Day 6 - June 16, 2023 - Friday - CB, L, & DThis morning we will travel back to the state of New York, where we will ride the Maid of the Mist boat and experience one of the world’s most amazing natural wonders, the Niagara Falls. Then we will reboard our bus to head to Ohio for the night.
Day 7 - June 17, 2023 - Saturday - CB, L, & D Today will be spent at the roller coaster capital of the world, Cedar Point (ticket does not include admission to the water park). We will have dinner on our way home and will arrive back in West Michigan around 9:30 pm.
