Trip Overview

- A tram ride through Arlington Cemetery to see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

- A tour of Mount Vernon - the estate and burial place of George Washington
- We will learn of the harrowing experiences the civilians went through living in Gettysburg during the Civil War, at the Shriver House Museum
- Experience a night time Ghost Walk in Gettysburg
- A guided tour of Gettysburg National Military Park
- Admission to Hershey Park, which offers roller coasters, water rides, and more
- All taxes and tips included, with the exception of $5 per student for our bus driver’s tip, which will be collected the morning of departure

Itinerary
Day 1 - June 3, 2023 - Saturday - DWe’ll depart Lakeview Middle School at 6:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada and stop to see Niagara Falls*. Our first night will be spent in Binghamton, New York. *itinerary may change due to boarder crossing regulations
Day 2 - June 4, 2023 - Sunday - CB, L, & DToday will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”, with lunch in Times Square, followed by a heart-stopping thrill ride on a 70-foot speedboat, called The Beast, out to view the Statue of Liberty. We will tool around town aboard a double-decker bus, where we will stop and visit the One World Observatory. Here, we will take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor, for breathtaking views of NYC. Then, after a quick stroll through Times Square, we’ll have dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, before heading to Philadelphia to spend the night.
Day 3 - June 5, 2023 - Monday - CB, L, & DAfter breakfast, we will visit the Museum of American Revolution and explore the dramatic, surprising story of the American Revolution. We will see Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell. After lunch, we depart for Washington D.C., have dinner at Union Station, and take a guided tour of our nation’s capitol.
Day 4 - June 6, 2023 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DToday, we will spend the day exploring Washington D.C. We start with a tram ride through Arlington Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. We will then visit some Smithsonian Museums and the Holocaust Museum*. After some dinner and shopping time at the Pentagon Mall, we head back to our hotel for some swim time before lights out.*Itinerary may change due to ticket/tour availability
Day 5 - June 7, 2023 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DWe start the morning with a visit to Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s beautiful home, after lunch we head for Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg, we will visit the Shriver House, where we will learn what it was like being a civilian during the Battle of Gettysburg, have dinner, and finally take a Ghost Walk through the historic streets of Gettysburg.
Day 6 - June 8, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide, and do some last minute souvenir shopping. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park!
Day 7 - June 9, 2023 - Friday - CB, LAfter breakfast, we will board our buses for home, and will arrive back around 4:00 pm.
