Trip Overview

- Experience a nighttime Ghost Walk in Gettysburg

Itinerary
Day 1 - June 13, 2023 - Tuesday - DWe’ll depart North Rockford Middle School at 6:00 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada to see the Niagara Falls, and then stop for dinner on our way to our first hotel in Binghamton, New York.
Day 2 - June 14, 2023 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DToday will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. After lunch at Brookfield Place, we will learn of the events, the aftermath and continuing implications of September 11, 2001. First, we hear a powerful, personal story from a guide effected by the attacks of 9/11, and then we head over to the 9/11 Museum. Afterwards we take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor of the One World Observatory for breathtaking views of NYC. Before we head out of town we take a heart-stopping thrill ride, on a 70-foot speedboat called The Beast out to see the Statue of Liberty. Our night will be spent in Philadelphia.
Day 3 - June 15, 2023 - Thursday - B, L, & DAfter breakfast, it’s sightseeing at its best, as we ride the double-decker bus through the historic streets of Philadelphia. We will visit Independence Hall and see the Liberty Bell, on our way to lunch at the famous Reading Terminal Market. Then, it’s on to Washington D.C. for some dinner at Uno Pizzeria, and a guided tour of our nation’s capitol.
Day 4 - June 16, 2023 - Friday - CB, L, & DToday we start with a visit Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Our afternoon will be spent visiting the Smithsonian Museums. We end the day with dinner and shopping time at Fashion Center Point Mall.
Day 5 - June 17, 2023 - Saturday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent testing our spy skills at the International Spy Museum before heading off to Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg we will visit the Visitors Center, have some dinner and then go on one of Gettysburg’s famous Ghost Walks before checking into our hotel.
Day 6 - June 18, 2023 - Sunday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide, before departing for Hershey Park. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 19, 2023 - Monday We will arrive back in Rockford around 10:00 am.
