Itinerary
Day 1 - June 6, 2023 - Tuesday - DWe’ll depart Tri County Middle School at 5:45 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel towards the East Coast, and our first night will be spent in Fairfield, New Jersey.
Day 2 - June 7, 2023 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DToday, will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We start with a guided tour to some of New York City’s best filming locations featured in some famous TV shows and movies. Then we go to the top of Rockefeller Center for some breathtaking views of NYC. After lunch we will see a Broadway show*. Next, we take a heart-stopping thrill ride on The Beast. After dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp we will head to our hotel for the night. *Itinerary may change, depending on ticket availability.
Day 3 - June 8, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DWe will start the morning with a visit to the Eastern State Penitentiary, where some of America’s most notorious criminals were held. Then we visit the National Constitution Center that is filled with interactive displays and we will walk past Independence Hall, see the Liberty Bell. After a box lunch, we are off to Washington D.C. for dinner at Union Station and a guided tour of our nation’s Memorials before heading to our hotel.
Day 4 - June 9, 2023 - Friday - CB, L, & DToday, we will start at Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s beautiful home. Then back to Washington D.C. where we spend the afternoon touring the Smithsonian Museums. After dinner at Hard Rock Cafe we will visit some more Memorials.
Day 5 - June 10, 2023 - Saturday - CB, L, & DBefore heading out of town for Gettysburg, we will tour Arlington National Cemetery and see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Once in Gettysburg, we will have some lunch and then visit Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide. After dinner we head to our hotel for some swim time.
Day 6 - June 11, 2023 - Sunday - CB, L, & DThis morning we will visit the Shriver House, where we will learn what it was like being a civilian during the Battle of Gettysburg. The afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will re-board our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 12, 2023 - MondayWe will arrive back in West Michigan at approximately 9:30 am.
