Itinerary

Day 1 - May 17, 2023 - Wednesday - L & DWe’ll depart Triumph Academy parking lot at 6:00 am this morning for our exciting trip to Mackinac Island! We will arrive in Mackinaw City in time for lunch before visiting the Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. We will visit Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and then head into town for some shopping time and dinner. Our evening will be spent watching some lumberjacks demonstrate skills such as chopping, sawing, axe throwing, cross-cut sawing, and logrolling at the Jack Pine Lumberjack Show. After the show, we will head to the hotel for the night.
Day 2 - May 18, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DAfter breakfast at the hotel, we start our morning off with a ferry ride to Mackinac Island! First we take a guided tour of the island on a horse-drawn carriage. Next is a visit to the beautiful Butterfly House, where we will enjoy the first of its kind in Michigan, and the third oldest LIVE butterfly exhibit in the United States. Afterwards, we will have some lunch and shopping on the island, before touring Fort Mackinac. We then board the boat to St. Ignace, for a drive over the Might Mac before heading for home.
