Itinerary

Day 1 - Friday, November 17, 2023 (MBS, L & D)We will head out this morning for Ohio to start our Christmas themed tour. For lunch, we will stop at The Corkscrew Saloon. After lunch, we will have a guided tour of Castle Noel; which houses the world’s largest privately owned collection of Hollywood Christmas movie props and costumes from your favorite Christmas movies including The Grinch, Elf, The Santa Clause 1, 2 & 3, Christmas Carol, and MORE. Castle Noel is known for their millions of dollars of animated New York City Christmas windows from Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor and Macy’s. Feel like a kid again in the “I Had That” toyland experience, filled with thousands of toys from the 50s through the 80s. Sprinkled into the magic is the BlizzardVortex, Santa’s Chimney Squeeze and 25’ tall animated Christmas tree. It snows inside and you’ll even get toride a slide, just like Ralphie. After our tour, will enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner at Castle Noel, before we explore, shop, and enjoy the charm of Historic Medina Square. We will then head to our hotel in Cleveland. Day 2 - Saturday, November 18, 2023 (CB)Begin your Christmas shopping season indoors at the I-X Christmas Connection! With over 700 vendor booths, it is sure to get even the biggest Grinch into the Holiday spirit! The Christmas Connection offers Shop and Drop so you have a place to store your purchases and not have to carry everything all day! For a donation to charity, they will even wrap your gifts for you! Youcan’t afford to miss the I-X Christmas Connection! In the afternoon, you will have the option to visit The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Our bus will drop us off and pick us up as a group. (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is $25 admission per person, and is not included in the cost of the trip) You can grab lunch and dinner on your own either at the Expo, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or near the hotel. We will run shuttles from the hotel during the day so you can stay all day, or you can take a break and head back to the hotel. This day is yours to plan! Day 3 - Sunday, November 19, 2023 (CB)After we have breakfast and check out of our hotel, our first stop will be at the famous Christmas Story House, now restored to its movie splendor. Directly across the street from the house is A Christmas Story Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare, behind-the-scenes photos. We will stop for lunch and then head to one of Cleveland’s oldest public markets, Westside Market, for some shopping before heading home.We will arrive back in Grand Rapids at approximately 8:00 pm. (no dinner stop)
